Performance

The design also features a Sportback-style rear gate with a noticeable spoiler. Its front end has traditional styling notes with a slightly hexagonal grille, large headlamps, and race-inspired corner coves. It also has a significant air dam and a distinct front bumper. Chrome accents also give the CX-90 PHEV's exterior a regal appearance around Council Bluffs and Omaha.
Interior
Bucket-style seating and cockpit driver's position offer a sporty and car-like feel. The wide, narrow dashboard spans the interior's front, while slight silver accents carve the design. A sizeable console offers room for storing items, and a small shifter makes operation simple. The wide infotainment display rises from the dash with a tablet design. There is also an arced space for the digital instrument panel.
The CX-90 PHEX is a three-row setup that'll seat eight or seven people, depending on the trim. Leather seating materials are standard for all trims. You get 14.9 cubic feet of rear cargo room, but the back seats will fold down to provide up to 74.2 cubic feet.
Tech
Mazda includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration with each CX-90 PHEV. The base infotainment display is 10.3 inches, but you can upgrade to 12.3 inches. You can also max out the audio experience with a twelve-speaker Bose sound system.
Safety
Radar-based cruise control is standard for the CX-90 PHEV, and automatic speed limit assistance is available on the two top trims. Side-curtain airbags are standard. All seats include a three-point belt system, too. A rearview monitor is standard, checking for blind spots and rear cross-traffic.
Trims
The Preferred trim is the base offering with all of the standard features. Upgrade to the Premium for a towing mode, black side molding, and a hands-free liftgate. The Premium Plus is the top trim with an auto-dimming driver's side mirror, windshield wiper de-icing, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view monitor.
