Safe Braking in 2019 Mazda CX-5

April 19th, 2019 by

Here at your home for new and pre-owned Mazda cars in Omaha, we know that nothing is too good for your family when it comes to safety. But we also want drivers to be able to have a safe vehicle without sacrificing performance and comfort. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that the 2019 Mazda CX-5, the popular compact crossover, has earned one of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) highest ratings for its automatic emergency braking systems.

Only five vehicles have earned an advanced rating from IIHS for their automatic emergency braking, thanks to new and tougher standards from the institution. The 2019 Mazda CX-5 utilized both its standard Smart City Brake Support and 360°View Monitor to help with the IIHS tests. These functions help the model to mitigate any potential crashes with pedestrians, and in some cases avoid a collision entirely.

These are just some of the new tech features drivers can find in the 2019 Mazda CX-5, but some of the most important when it comes to safety for those inside and outside the SUV.

President and CEO of Mazda North American Operations, Masahiro Moro, explained that “Our Mazda Proactive Safety Philosophy guides us to develop cars and crossover SUVs that are both nimble and responsive to help a driver avoid incidents altogether.”

Based in IIHS testing, we can see that Mazda automakers have succeeded in their goals with the new Mazda CX-5. Bellevue, Lincoln, and Council Bluffs drivers who want a comfortable SUV with a great drive experience don’t need to worry about getting the whole package when it comes to safety. Just call or visit us at Woodhouse Mazda in Omaha, and we’ll let you experience for yourself why so many drivers love the 2019 Mazda CX-5.
