Mazda Company Named Top Performance Brand
When Kelley Blue Book determines the winner of their Brand Image Awards, it’s not a quick decision. Their online tracking study, Kelley Blue Book Strategic Insights’ Brand Watch, uses data from over 12,000 new vehicle shoppers using their website for research. The study uses this information to figure out what factors car buyers are considering, as well as brand loyalty and shoppers’ familiarity with models and brands. After this extensive research, Kelley Blue Book has announced their 2019 Brand Image Awards, which honor automakers for the brand they have created and maintained. And for the second year in a row, the Mazda company has been named the Top Performance Brand!
So what does this honor mean and how have Mazda automakers achieved it? Director of strategic insights for Kelley Blue Book Hwei-Lin Oetken explained that “Mazda vehicles are engineered to be intuitive and exciting to both the driver and passenger,” and added that this attribute really resonated with car buyers. Drivers have certainly experienced that in the exciting drive experience of a new Mazda car, or the abilities and agility of a 2019 Mazda CX-5 or 2019 Mazda CX-9 SUV.
Chief marketing officer for Mazda North American Operations Dino Bernacchi explained that Mazda engineers and automakers have worked to continuously improve their designs in response to driver preferences, and promised that the Mazda company “will continue to infuse each vehicle with the soul and passion of our talented people.”
